Zablon

Wekesa

Head of Design

Zab is a designer in everything he does. As a qualitative UX researcher and designer, he employs a variety of research methods to listen, understand, and evaluate in order to create actionable insights that improve products and processes for users. He strives to empathize with the user as fully as possible, and communicate their goals, needs, joys, and failings to development teams in order to create products that truly serve the end-user.

Zab brings a wealth of experience in design research to KUNGU LABS. Prior to joining us, he founded the UON Bikeshare program, a bike-share system to encourage health and physical exercise at the University of Nairobi and the surrounding communities. His passion for designing social impact projects attracted funding from the University and the UN-Habitat.

Currently, Zab also serves as a regional coordinator for the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN), and the organizer for Circular Economy Club (CEC), Nairobi Chapter. He is a graduate of the University of Nairobi, where he specialized in arts and design.
